Free Valentine's Day Minis at Movies for Mommies!
Lots of you have come to see me at Movies for Mommies over the last year and I have been having so much fun photographing your beautiful babies. It’s so amazing to watch them grow up in front of my lens and I love seeing everyone all year (and a half!) long on their maternity leaves! I’ve been so lucky to meet so many great people through these shoots and I love seeing them over the years as we do birthday sessions, family sessions and mini sessions! This last weekend at my Mid-Winter Minis I photographed two families I’d met at MFM Humber 5 years ago!
In my regular work I prefer to photograph people in their environment, but the dimly lit hallways of movie theaters don’t always make for the cutest baby portraits. I had so much fun coming up with this set up. I knew I wanted to use a colored back drop, because the last few have been more neutral, and pink felt like an obvious choice. I had my neon-look love sign from last years minis and I wanted to use it again, and a trip to Target (!!!) came up with this adorable little heart banner. I also loved that it was neutral colours because the pink background felt like plenty of colour to me.
We always send out a promo shot for Movies for Mommies shoots and everyone has gotten so amazing at dressing their babes to fit the theme and match the set! I love seeing everyone’s outfits as they arrive and it’s so fun to chat with everybody while we try to elicit eye contact and giggles from the littlest film buffs.
