A Post-Christmas Family Photoshoot Filled With Giggles
I love this session so much and I can’t wait to share it with you.
It was just a few days after Christmas, and when I walked in the first thing I noticed was the AMAZING Lego rollercoaster on the kitchen table. They’d built it together as a family! How awesome is that? That eternal Sunday between Christmas and New Years is my favourite time of year and I love seeing what other families have gotten up to in theirs.
We started out on the main floor in front of the gorgeous fireplace Dad had just finished up (these guys get up to a lot more than our endless game of Exploding Kittens), and I got to meet Cody’s blanket from when he was a baby, that his mom loved watching him weave his little tiny fingers through. Speaking of hands, Mom and Dad had a sweet laugh about his weird palm-out approach to hugs.
The kids let me photograph them in their rooms, which I love because they are such a window in to their little souls. I love seeing what things they love and want to show off and that impress them about themselves when they show you the cool stuff they have. And it always leads to silly sibling fun, like these two playing tug of war with a monkey and a perfectly timed stuffie to the face.
After a family snuggle in bed we headed down to the family room to hang out and just be the way they always are. Hanging out with this family was an absolute pleasure and I think their love for each other really shines through in these photos.
