A Few Of My Favourite Things

I love a lot of things. I’m not particularily picky, which you could call a flaw (the word undiscerning come to mind), but I prefer to think of myself as just being full of love. I always say that’s what makes me a great photographer, because I see the beauty in everything and everyone. Here’s a few of the things that make me really happy, especially when I get to capture them with my camera. I know they seem pretty simple, but isn’t that the point?

Photos with Grandparents (Now that all my grandparents are gone I spend so much time looking at old photos with them and it still brings up memories I’d nearly forgotten to this day)

Grandparents together (Young love is lovely and full of hope and possibility, but when that look is still in your eyes 40 years later that’s something special)

Baby toes (Be careful, I might eat them)

Holding little babies (3 babies of my own and 4 years photographing newborns and I STILL can’t get over how tiny they are)

Fake smiles (I’ve written a whole blog post about why these warm my heart)

Laughing (Obvious, but it’s so nice to look in to someone’s eyes and share that joy)

Toddlers acting like maniacs (Which is basically all they do)

Big kids acting like grown ups (Poppy does this all the time and I don’t think she loves it when I squeal with delight)

Adult siblings (Why do we revert to childhood when we get together? I don’t know, but I like it!)

Big siblings loving their little siblings (I may or may not be a big sister myself..)

Your whole family! I’m obsessed with making sure my family gets these done every few years. I love everyone hanging out together, laughing, loving and being so lucky to have each other.
